It is with a profound sense of loss that I have to tell you that my beloved husband Ken, lost his fight with cancer on Monday 17th October 2011. We were caching in Scotland in September, but he was taken ill, the day before we came home. Within the week he was in hospital and on 6th October they told us he had weeks left. He died at home on 17th October with me by his side. My life feels empty now.

What a day we had yesterday (26th Feb). We drove down this track that led to a crossroads, only to slew off the track and down the side of a ditch. Axle deep in mud. After a botched attempt to help by a dog walker, and numerous calls to RAC, who don't use GPS coordinates to find you, we finally managed to dig round the wheels with a small trowel, and Ken got the car turned round. Very slippery bumpy ride back to the main road, only took us 2 1/2 hours!! Needless to say we are leaving this cache for another time, and walking the track. !! We've learned our lesson, don't drive muddy tracks, wait till drier weather.

Just achieved our 500th find yesterday (18th Sept) at Wandering the Wolds 11 - Horkstow Wolds. Lovely views from there. Beautiful day too. Finished the day on 512 caches.
