October 24 by Peteranddi (1275 found) It being nearly Halloween, we thought it a good idea as we were walking towards 'I can see great Hill' cache on the Tackler's Trail, to have a short diversion for this cache. Well it was only about 0.2 of a mile from the path... Well! We got to within 380 feet and realised that all paths had now run out! We won't talk about what happened next, but a couple of high-risk gymnastic maneouvres were involved We're still debating over whose responsibility it was to notice the additional waypoints on the cache page - or the gps!
Finally got close to GZ, having crossed the torrential river (well it was today), and realised another level was required. "What if one of us falls off?" said Di. "The other one phones for an ambulance" said Peter. Off we went then. Di stayed at a safe distance with Cassiedog whilst Peter picked out a path and hunt down the cache. What a fright we had! As we headed back down, we executed an almost perfect synchronised fall, which ended with Di's legs pointing up the hill and Peter's legs pointing down, and Cassiedog wagging her tail, thinking it was all great fun. It's ok for her, it's us who's going to have nightmares tonight! We took the geocoin and left a flipper fun tb who wants to be near water. Plenty of that around! Thanks for the cache and the adventure - it was a terrain six the way we did it! PS - Spaghnum, sphagnum, whatever...today it's spelt S-O-G-G-Y

Favourite Logs
After my fruitless search of four sites a few days ago I was determined to find this one. Found at 8pm tonight, with a group of "players" standing very very close by.
My first find, and also the honour of FTF. Jaz666, Fore play |
