OK, the first rule is make sure you get it right first time, as currently poor old muggin's here is the only one who can edit mistakes. The second rule is more important......... Do not pinpoint any caches you put on the map, make sure the marker is placed withing a reasonable distance, but not dead on the spot. This is so we don't fall foul of Groundspeaks Terms & Conditions. It's also important to note that the coords system this software uses is different to the Nxx xx.xxx format we are used to. It is far easier, when you are submitting a location, to drag the marker on the map to the rough location - this updates the coords for you. Most of the fields are self-explanatory, and in practice you can get away with only choosing the Category, Marker Type and Name.
