For years I've been enjoying Groundspeak's monthly computer background images, so this year I hope to offer the Yorkshire Geocachers a similar set of images.

January's photo has a suitably Wintery theme.

To download the image (availabe in 3 differnet screen sizes) you need to be a registered member (signing up takes a moment and is free).

Hollingworth Lake Cache

I was passing close to Hollingworth Lake and so decided to go find this newly published cache in the hope of getting a first to find.

Despite a long search I retired without a score.

But hang on a minute.....the cache wasn't there to be found. No, it had been stolen just minutes after having been placed.

And we think we have problems in Yorkshire. Read on...
