my philosophy is any move is better than no move (as long as it doesn't have a specific target attached which you can't help with) i always move any TB's/coins that i come across. I think the more they move the more chance they have to complete their mission and its sad when they are sat there for months

i did hold on to a couple last year that i had and gave emailed the owners with the option of me moving them over here quickly or releasing them in South Africa about a month later. if i didn't hear from them within a week i released here and the ones that did i took on a tour of South Africa and Lesotho!

BTW if anyone has any TB's that would like to go to South Africa let me know and i'll be happy to take a few with me this summer

It's almost always worth while to move trackables on, even if only a short distance, as long the move doesn't prevent or hinder any mission they may have. We are always very pleased to see that one of our trackables have been picked up and even more pleased when they get dropped off again!
The only thing to watch out for is caches which have resident geocoins, but the ones we've come across make it very clear that they are not for moving and meant to be left in the cache.

I personally try to take and move on within a fortnight , how far often depends on either 1: Work Commitments , regular trips to Brum and Suffolk , or 2 take them to my TB hotel on Anglesey which receives a good number of visits March - October.

I normally try to swap like for like but tend to place a coin without taking anything if i think ive had one for too long.......

However not long after i started i got an email from a grumpy TB owner complaining because i had had his TB for 2 days...... Won't post my reply on here

Jonah's Journey 5/5 - GC3A3V near Sheffield

Here's one for you, overanout!

Done by Fiona 6 & Lewis 3 in April 2007

We had read that conditions down the hole were a bit cramped so it made sense to send the smallest stonefielder (aged 3) down! This caused more than a little sibbling rivalry so his 6 year old sister also joined him in the whale. 66 has been claimed as the age of the oldest finder I assume 3 is the youngest?
This was superb fun, I'm afraid they were rather excited on reaching the treasure to be discrete thankfully there was no one else around.
For anyone thinking of calling social services we have done a lot of climbing and both kids were belayed with chest harnesses - I wouldn't recommend taking small kids to this one otherwise.
Took TB left swops
Excellent fun- Many thanks
