Right, our 1st event has been published. It's a camping event but even if you don't want to camp, feel free to come down and meet cachers from all over. There will be an informal-ish mass barbeque on the Saturday.

I would ahve loved to come but I'm at a wedding in St Alban's then off to Aintree for the Grand National that weekend! Doubly annoying as I have a few caches around that area I'd like to pick up after missing them on my first visit!

Can’t camp as I am supervising the Explorer Scouts at a D of E Silver expedition in Barnsley that weekend, however I should be able to escape with Mrs ES for a couple of hours and attend the BBQ. Hope everything goes well and see you all on Saturday evening.

Weather looks good and assuming my scouts don’t get too lost while on a D of E practise in Barnsley we should be over about 4pm, but will have to leave early evening as Becki has a presentation evening in Bradford at 7pm. See you all at the BBQ,

Well you don't have to park at the bottom of the hill, that's for sure.

There is a car park at the end of the track. It's the grassy bit just passed the main gate.

Good news for all attending Zippy Dora has done a 13 cache haul this morning and is currently subdued with tiredness , hopefully the effects will remain until late evening and she won't be bouncing off the walls

If the two campers from Nottingham arrived first, camped and attended the bash how come they did not get the chance to sign the log first and be FTF?
In any case can you have a FTF at an event?

Of course you can...
We were not first to arrive at the location, but we did find the cache box on the table and signed the log book first and that's what counts.
What's up Reg, why the glum face...
There will be a FTF going at my CITO Event so come along and join in, you never know, you may just get lucky...

An enjoyable gathering. By the time we arrived - a bit late :o - the party was in full swing.

It would have been nice to get around to say hello to a few more folks but, that was our fault for arriving late.

If you can arrange for the glorious weather for next years gig, I might be tempted to camp over.

My First Ever Find

After my fruitless search of four sites a few days ago I was determined to find this one.  Found at 8pm tonight, with a group of "players" standing very very close by.

My first find, and also the honour of FTF.
