The past 24 hours has seen a "heated" debate over in the main UK Forum on whether the UK could host a Mega Event in 2008. For those not in the know, a Mega Event is a Geocaching Event which has over 500 confirmed attendees.
Over in the USA they have the annual "Geo-Woodstock" event, last year it attracted 1031 "attended" logs. Out of all the discussions, Harrogate has come forward as an ideal location, it is fairly central for both English, Scottish and Welsh cachers. Robin "Harrogate Hunters" has already shown interest in helping to organise things, but he needs a committee to help take things forward. A few of us have already come forward, and now I've created a forum for further discussions. If you think you could help, or just want to make some suggestions, pop into the forums and give us your input.
