I always want this website to be free to use, and have so far always run it out of my own pocket; however as the site becomes more popular, the costs of running it are going up. 2009 Hosting Costs = £65 (monthly payments) Software Purchases = £95 (already bought) My Time = £???? Minimum Total = £165 Any small donation made thought PayPal will help, but please remember PayPal deduct a few pence in the process. I do intend on rewarding anyone who donates in some fashion. |

OK, the first rule is make sure you get it right first time, as currently poor old muggin's here is the only one who can edit mistakes. The second rule is more important......... Do not pinpoint any caches you put on the map, make sure the marker is placed withing a reasonable distance, but not dead on the spot. This is so we don't fall foul of Groundspeaks Terms & Conditions. It's also important to note that the coords system this software uses is different to the Nxx xx.xxx format we are used to. It is far easier, when you are submitting a location, to drag the marker on the map to the rough location - this updates the coords for you. Most of the fields are self-explanatory, and in practice you can get away with only choosing the Category, Marker Type and Name. |

Your first port of call should be to look at some existing Routes in our database for a good idea of what to write. The first thing you should consider is, "Is it a circular walk, or a A to B walk". If it's a circular route, think about noting a recommended place to park. If it's a straight route, with a start and an end, you could consider mentioning any public transport back to the start, or a place near the end to leave a second car. Where ever possible, try to link to cache listings over on the gc.com website. To do this, type out the text, highlight it and click on the "Insert/Edit Link" button if you are using the default WYSIWYG editor. You might also want to consider pointing out facilities along the way, such as public toilets and picnic areas. |

Please do not submit other cachers logs, even if they were about your own cache, without their permission. When you've chosen your log, follow the "Submit Favourite Log " link in the Contributors menu. Try to keep it short, a couple of paragraphs at the most. |
