For May's calendar I've taken a break from the normal format, and have used the Logo I've created to celebrate 10 Years of Geocaching in Yorkshire (as ever, you need to be a member to access the downloads).

This Logo has been a labour of love over the last two weeks, what started as a simple idea turned out to be much more complex to create than I thought.
The picture is a Word Cloud Artwork made up of 300 names. Which names? The names of the 300 Caching Accounts which have placed the most Geocaches in Yorkshire over the last Ten years (archived and currently active up to last weekend). The more caches they've placed, the larger their name is in the picture.

Spring has sprung (give or take a bit of snow), the lambs are frolicking, and we've more light in the evening for our mad little pastime.
April's photo takes us into the East Riding (or Humberside if you prefer) to a lovely coastal walk between Flamborough Head and Filey.

To download the image (availabe in 3 different screen sizes) you need to be a registered member (signing up takes a moment and is free).
(Image updated 6th April, it now actually says April instead of March) |

Spring is (hopefully) just around the corner, and with more daylight comes more time for Geocaching.
March's photo was taken from a spot familiar to anyone who attended the first UK Mega Event in 2008.

The first month of 2010 has flown by, so it's time for another Calendar Background.
February's photo was taken from a bridge not to far away from one of West Yorkshire's most famous farms.
